Nicholas Martin’s debut album Destello Azul will be released on June 20, 2025,
via Azure Records. An evocative lyric tenor from Catalan Bay, Gibraltar—
now based in North London—Nicholas draws inspiration from his coastal roots,
blending delicate intimacy with soaring power to deliver a deeply emotional
listening experience.Destello Azul (“Blue Flash” or “Sparkle”) is a heartfelt collection of romantic songs inspired by pivotal life moments. The album spans diverse musical traditions, including beloved Argentinian tangos and a fresh take on Tite Curet Alonso’s iconic 1960s Puerto Rican hit, Puro Teatro. Nicholas also offers soul-stirring renditions of Eres Todo En Mí and Sin Miedo a Nada, culminating in a haunting performance of Hijo de la Luna by José María Cano—a tragic tale of love and sacrifice.
