by You vs You

You vs You is a community organisation that supports the development of young people in the borough. Using a positive approach, they encourage young people to reach their full potential throug positive relationships and exciting opportunities, so they can have bright futures and enjoy fulfilling lives.

This approach will ensure that our future generation is focussed, successful, and equipped to create the economic and social changes needed for community development and economic growth. You vs You also aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of participants, as mental health is a critical issue in our society.

This organisation wholeheartedly believes that it is possible and achievable to enable young people to thrive, flourish, and shape their future and their communities. You vs You has a programme called Be The Change. Through this programme they support young individuals through the application process to become a police officer in the Metropolitan Police
Force, also known as the Met. By investing in the young individuals in our community we will all benefit from economic and community growth and success.

Met Police: The Be The Change programme is a great opportunity for young individuals to gain insight to life after education and find out more about being a Met police officer. This programme supports young individuals to understand the various roles in the Met police force and how to apply for the job opportunities, practice interview skills and questions, and update their CVs. There will be 1:1 support, workshops, and personal and interpersonal skill development.

The organisation is willing to engage and support any interested applicant. It is worth noting that in addition to the professional development that the Met police offers, they also provide social opportunities for its workforce, like football.
