Meridian One Community Garden
Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend your free time? Do you love nature
and want to help make your neighbourhood greener and healthier? If so, you should check
out the Meridian One Community Garden!
The Meridian One Community Garden is a new green space in North Tottenham, managed
by The Conservation Volunteers, for local people to care for and enjoy together. It is located
along the footpath between Albany Road and Meridian Water train station, next to the
orange Vistry sales & marketing suite. You can visit the garden Monday – Friday between
9am – 5pm and see what we have been up to!
They have weekly Green Gym gardening volunteering sessions every Thursday from 10
45am – 2pm. You don’t need any experience to join, just enthusiasm and a willingness
to learn! You can help with a variety of tasks each week, from weeding and watering, to
creating wildlife habitats and building raised beds and planters. You can come as often as
you like, or just drop in whenever you can!
Join in a nature themed arts and crafts club for under 5’s every Friday between 10am –
12pm. There are lots of indoor and outdoor activities for the little ones, such as painting,
collage, clay modelling, scavenger hunts and more. We also have story time and a snack
break. Refreshments provided.
We love to celebrate the seasons and the garden’s progress with our community. That’s
why we host regular events and workshops throughout the year. Our first spring event
in April was a big success, with lots of people joining us for planting, crafts, games and
refreshments. We have more exciting events planned for the rest of the year, so stay tuned!
