Exchanging Dreams
by Jacqui
Jazanne Arts is a Community Interest Company that specializes in working with older people and those living with dementia. We provide a range of reminiscence workshops and arts activities both in the community, in homes and day centres. Our aim is to give a voice to older people, support their artistic work and enable ‘successful aging’.
This summer, Jazanne Arts will tour ‘Exchanging Dreams’ to day centres and older people’s clubs in and around London. ‘Exchanging Dreams’ is an interactive musical show that uses reminiscence, drama, music and dance to explore the relationship between two friends from their childhood to their older age. This show is fully funded by the Arts Council England and so is available for free, but places are going fast so contact [email protected] for further details as soon as possible to book the performance.
Jazanne Arts is composed of three directors: Jacqui Livingston who is a former Head of School who worked in primary schools for 23 years. Jacqui is the lead visual and design artist. Annie Smol MBE is the founder and previous Artistic Director of Face Front Inclusive Theatre based in North London, she has been working in theatre for 30+ years. Annie is the lead director and writer. Jac Shreeves Lee is a clinical consultant psychologist and author of the book ‘Broadwater’ a collection of short stories about the Broadwater Farm housing estate in Tottenham. Jac is the lead script and therapeutic

We are currently working on a reminiscence project, called ‘Joyful Connections’, with The
Parker Day Centre in Edmonton. These workshops include singing, chair exercises and reminiscence activities for participants.
